Just days after Michael Steele was floated as a potential candidate for Republican National Committee Chairman, The New Republic floats the idea of Harold Ford replacing Howard Dean as Chairman.

Why would they get rid of Dean? Is he not their savior? Intersting that Mehlman leaves though by most accounts he did a decent job and Dean leaves after the best election for the Dems in years.
Mike will do a great job. How about a state chairman? The Washington Times reports Dirk Haire is on the short list. I think a great choice, though I bet you might disagree.
