Dispatches from the Idiocracy
I have no problem with Democrats as people. I have good friends who are Democrats and they are good people. Most legislators in the General Assembly, despite their policy stances, are good people too. But some people are out there. Can anybody explain the usefulness behind this series of statements about the Annapolis special elections?:
I don't get some of these people I do not understand why these people, some of which are clearly the mainstream of current Democratic leadership, are so divisive in their comments and vile in their accusations. It's sad really, particularly when as I have noted before most of the recently indicted politicians have been Democrats.
Incidentally, none of these so called "shenanigans" appeared in any news outlet, which problems means that are figments of the imagination...
Of course, if Moody and the rest of the Democratic Party get so giddy that they saw two Democrats elected to replace two Democrats in districts that are overwhelmingly Democratic, I guess than the Democratic Party in Anne Arundel County is in deep, deep trouble (which is a good thing for a lot of us).
Great news in Annapolis! Despite repeated Republican financial shenanigans the people of Annapolis stood up to say they didn't want to surrender their city to the corrupt special interest groups that the GOP represents. I send out my congratulations this morning to the new Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderman Arnett. I'm expecting great things from both of them in the coming years, but we are going to have to work on turnout in these special elections. The Republicans are ruthless in their mobilization of their few supporters and there appears to be some level of apathy on our side to stand up to them. You can just look at the state of our country and you'll get a good idea what would happen to your city if the Republicans gain control even for a short period of time. Corruption and criminality are the mainstays of their worldview. It's not safe to have them in office even for a short period of time. I suspect we will start seeing the side effects countywide with the election of Leopold before long. Failure is the hallmark of what it means when a Republican is in charge. It's not a question of if, it's a question of when their incompetence will start causing damage to the local population.Again, Mr. Moody, is a member of the Anne Arundel County Democratic Central Committee, and this kind of screed is nothing new from him.
