OK I was wrong. Mike Collins Is a tall ex-Navy guy AND the current chairman of county central committee (you don't have to publish my comment on the Dwyer post, Brian).
I always thought Mr. Collins was a stand-up guy. Of course, I think Greg Kline is as well. Both are objects of scorn in Joyce Thomann's eyes.
But Greg knows that I asked about the mole feeding the AFL-CIO hack reporter at the Washington Times. But Mike Collin's name surfaced before then when the first "zealot" piece hit the streets with former Chairman Kane's name all over the place. Joyce and I flayed Kane and his supporters then. Soon after we received personal communications from Chuck Gast and Mike Collins conducting damagae control.
We were both shocked. So I wasn't totally surprised when I read the Kapital "Party Rift" piece.
But I do have to agree with Brian and our fellow Eastern Shore blogger who caution us about secret party meetings, unless they're planning a surprise birthday party.
Again I don't know this Mary or Debbie Belcher or this Walker guy, except they may be former Democrats, and they are not elected to anything.
Mike Collins should stand fast. But he should also confirm or deny the allegations quickly piling up.
