You mentioned Tom Redmond needing to work to rebuild trust. I wouldn't trust him on anything. Let's not forget why he got thrown out by the voters in this district a few elections back.
The very first letter to the editor I wrote to the Gazette, I must have been 17 or 18, was about Redmond and his NASCAR track. It's not like anybody ever forgot about that...
Recall the stories back in 1997 when he didn't pay his tax bills? Also, his being held in contempt of court back in July 1997?
We don't need anymore characters like Tom Redmond in politics. It's a shame the GOP embraced him after he jumped ship. I guess that priceless sign location he offers endears him to some.
Which taxes didn't he pay?
