That Didn't Take Long

Sure glad we elected a "Republican" County Executive if this is any indication:
[Dennis Callahan] will work with incoming Republican County Executive John Leopold in a prominent role. Mr. Callahan and school board attorney P. Tyson Bennett, a Republican, will co-chair Mr. Leopold's transition team.
Unfortunately, I expected this kind of thing...

What did hard headed republicans think when they elected a liberal like Leopold? Ask certain republicans to consider a democrat and they hail they would "never vote for a God damn democrat". Well, I hope those folks enjoy Leopold. Johnson was the more conservative candidate here.

Leopold sided with Mike Busch consistently. Leopold has supports many tax increases in his time. He opposes slots. Thus, even if Puppet Busch allows slots, Leopold will likely fight to keep them out of Laurel Park.

As for Dennis Callahan, look for him to be re-named Rec and Parks director. That's likely his payoff.

Wow. Now, Leopold is creating positions, thus expanding government. He made a newly created position of special assistant for education and town centers, and a new position of special assistant for minority affairs. So much for all that convservative talk on his website. The hard heads that voted party line for republicans will rue the day they rubber stamped Leopold.
