Feeling the Pain

Ben Domenench hits this on the head:
I don't know what I did to make Dianne Feinstein hate me, but she really does.

That's the only legitimate reason I can come up with for her law against the normal sale of pseodoephedrine, the best decongestant on the market, attached (of course) as an amendment to the Patriot Act. Thanks to Feinstein's amendment, co-sponsored by now ex-Senator Jim Talent, you can't get any sinus medication from the supermarket shelf that contains any medicine the pharmaceutical industry has discovered since the 1970s. In other words, medicine that actually works.

The pseodoephedrine debacle is just another in a long slew of government creeping its way into ordinary lives through dubious reasoning. And its another rider that gets passed attached to unrelated bills. These are the provisions that really put the screws to the American people; something that is doubly problematic when you have had a head cold for a week, as I have.

Incidentally, and nearly completely unrelated to this topic, I was scheduled to be on the first Conservative Refuge podcast yesterday, but my voice was not going to hold out for it. I should be back in the game for tomorrow's scheduled podcast, which will be available at http://theconservativerefuge.libsyn.com/.

This is a reaction to the scourge of meth which is particularly bad in California and, perhaps suprisingly Missouri. It is an overreaction to a problem that is growing quickly out of control and is starting to affect our community as well.

Thanks for pluggin the podcast. I look forward to your joining us today an being a regular contributor.

Yeah, well you think that is bad, I ran into BS twice in one day. Maybe I should lobby Feinstein to take him off the street. Four years of him and we all might need to be on meth.
I listened to the pod cast it was good although there were some flaws in the other guys logic about Gilleland. Does he know that Terry ran for the Senate in 2002 and if I remember correctly garnered about 44 percent of the vote, and had been on the central committee prior? So it is not like he was a complete unknown when he was appointed as Delegate like our new guy Mr. Brickenbrac or what ever his name is.
Did you realize Brian you might be the first person in history to call out sick from a pod cast!

I knew about Terry's background which is why I was so critical. I did not mention it but obviously I knew the senate race and the central commitee (he appointed me as counsel so believe me I knew).

Brandon is a close friend of Terry's (they have dinner once a week) so there is that. Terry is a great friend of mine as well but you have to call them like you see them.

No defense for Brian.
