Privacy Advocates win in North Dakota

The North Dakota legislature has overwhelmingly approved legislation that bars insurance companies from using information on the "black box" of a car from being used to rates.

Given the high insurance rates that Maryland drivers face, such legislation should be enacted by the General Assembly. Of course, given the continued support of red-light cameras and now speed cameras by Democrats in the legislature, I would not suspect that Marylanders would be afforded such lbierties any time soon.
